Borg developer documentation

On this page

The Borg gateway is the team-controlled path to models included in a Borg subscription; these docs organize what is known and mark details that are not yet published.

Start here

Use the quickstart to begin an API setup with the base URL and key from Borg Settings. It includes curl, Python and Node.js examples. Never place private keys in public code or share them with other people.

Models and routing

The models page is the catalog of models available through Borg. The Fusion page explains Borg Fusion, which the product copy describes as routing work to a model for each step. The effort-and-thinking page covers model reasoning and effort controls when those details are documented.

API behavior and account controls

The compatibility page describes the documented chat completions and Anthropic Messages request shapes, plus streaming. It distinguishes those interfaces from a complete parameter reference.

The limits page covers the subscription, team permissions and budgets, account-specific rate limits, and approval gates. It separates documented controls from unanswered questions, such as what happens at a budget threshold.

Changes over time

The changelog lists dated updates to the public Borg model and product pages. Use it to see what has been added or revised. It is a record of page changes, not a promise that every API behavior change will appear there.
